CAPTION: It took three overtimes and lots of nail-biting moments, but fourth-ranked Santa Ana Mater Dei finally emerged with a 46-43 victory over Carson on Wednesday night when wide receiver Campbell caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Matt Barkley in the ESPN nationally televised football game at Long Beach Veterans Stadium. USC trojans bound Matt Barkley is last season's Gatorade national player of the year, completed 15 of 31 passes for 301 yards and six touchdowns with a career high four interceptions. Here in this photo Barkley meets his future USC teammate Morrell Presley of Carson High School, before the game, and will meet him again three more times during the game, because of the overtimes.
